Approaching retirement in 2012 Don began researching how he might travel the Missouri River from its origin to his birthplace St. Louis. It was during his musings that he bumped into the AGLCA site. He abandoned the Missouri River trip and began searching for the perfect boat to circumnavigate the eastern United States by water.
In 2013 he bought a Bayliner 288. Big enough to live aboard, small enough to trailer from Idaho to Chicago. We LOVE our boat! It is perfect for us. After completing the Loop we will drag it around the country, winter in lakes Havasu and Powell, investigate inland lakes, and return to Florida for Christmases.
